Welcome to ElizabethRothman.com. This website is under construction. As any of you return visitors know and were probably expecting this used to be a professional website for my business in Manhattan. For personal reasons I have scaled back my business and I am no longer located in New York. I am still available for Medical Massage, Reiki, and Athletic Training on a limited basis, please email me to inquire.
I will be in Los Angeles for the summer of 2010 and permanently staring in 2011. I will also be available in New York periodically. Please send me an email for more information or to make an appointment.
I am a New York State Licensed (since 2007), California Certified (expected as of June 2010) and Nationally (NCBTMB) Certified Massage Therapist (LMT) who specializes in Myofascial medical massage and Trigger Point. I have been trained in other modalities such as Sports Massage, Usui Reiki, Shiatsu, Tui Na, Swedish, and Reflexology to name a few and I incorporate many of those techniques into my work when needed. I have also been an American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) certified personal trainer (CPT) for over 5 years. I have been trained as a Cancer and Exercise, and in Pre and Post Natal and Flexibility Training.
My past work experience as a massage therapist includes, Private Practice in Manhattan, working with Dr. Steven Shoshany in New York, Taylor Techniques a medical massage and training studio in New York run by Myofascial maven Carrie Taylor, and working freelance at major sporting events such as the ING NYC Marathon.
My past work experience as an athletic trainer includes, Private Practice in Manhattan, Taylor Techniques, The Sports Center at Chelsea Piers in Manhattan, Crunch Fitness International, and All-Sport Health and Wellness Center in Highland, New York.
